Adventure Escape Mysteries – Puzzle Lovers

Haiku Games is back with a new Adventure Escape game, this time a romance-adventure in which you get to choose your character and then date men, women or both! You’ll solve the world’s greatest puzzles in the most beautiful locales. This walkthrough guide should help you if you get stuck on any of the puzzles in Puzzle Lovers. Chapter 1:

1. You’re on a reality TV show called Puzzle Lovers! First, choose your character’s appearance and name. This is what I chose. I’m not sure if the story changes at all based on who you choose. But the gist of it is that your friend Xia hosts a reality show and needed a last-minute replacement so you’re now a contestant — if you can get onto the plane in time.
2. Jake appears and offers some help. We need a 5-digit code for the combination lock next to the gate, so let’s look around for some numbers. First, find the washer and the fire extinguisher.
3. Use the washer instead of a quarter in the tower viewer so you can see in the distance.
4. Look through the tower viewer and drag it around until you see some numbers on the plane’s wing. You can just barely make them out — 74381.
5. Tap on the combination lock and enter 74381.
6. The gate starts opening but then gets stuck. Jake also pauses you to ask why you’re on the show. I’m not sure how these questions factor into the game, but I said that “I need the prize money to save my vineyard.”
7. Jake tries to brute force the stuck gate and starts a fire! Throw the fire extinguisher at the flames and then tap on the foam left behind to clear it out. Grab the socket wrench.
8. Use the socket wrench to open up the machine part on the ground and get a copper wire.
9. Use the copper wire with the control box to fix the gate. Then head through to the plane.
10. They pulled up the stairs to the plane and are about to take off! We have to figure something out. First, move the traffic cone to reveal a trap door. Move the palm leaves and grab the puzzle piece. Also, notice the lock around the luggage. It has four colors that are also visible on the plane. What you need to do is count how many times you see those colors. You have 7 yellow, 3 blue, 1 black, 6 silver — or 7316. Enter that into the lock to open it.
11. Grab another puzzle piece from the camera arm and another under the red carpet. Then look through the luggage. Clear away all the suitcases and grab the nail file and more puzzle pieces.
12. Once the cart is out of the way, grab the newspaper, flattened pipe, and another puzzle piece.
13. Use the flattened pipe to open the trap door and get another puzzle piece. You should now have eight.
14. Now, inspect the metal faceplate on the stairs. Use the nail file to unscrew the screws and then add all eight puzzle pieces to it.
15. Let’s solve the Connections puzzle! You need to place the tiles down so they create paths between matching symbols.
16. Now the plane is ready to be boarded, but there’s another combination lock in our way! The clue for it is the spotlights! Notice there’s 3, then 2, then 4, then 3 again. So the code is 3243. Enter that and get on the plane.
17. Jake asks if you want to form an alliance. I chose, “Sorry, no. I’m keeping my options open.” I want to see what other contestants there are.
18. Now we’re on the plane and meet Alex and Mo. You have another choice to make, and I said, “I’m here to win.”
19. Xia gives you a tablet with a checklist on it. Take a look at it to see what we need to do.
20. Take the gift. It’s a box of chocolates. Also, move the bouquet of flowers and get the staple remover. Move the other bouquet to reveal a button. Press it to raise the curtains, revealing two locked compartments.
21. Talk to Alex and Mo. Alex needs help with her chess game. Give her the newspaper and she’ll leave. Also, use the staple remover to lift the rug. Take the music key that was under the rug and grab the bottle of champagne that was behind Alex.
23. Knock the ice bucket over and take the wirecutter. Use the music key to unlock the music compartment. Take the legendary guitar and give it to Mo. He’ll play you a song and then run off. Also, use the wirecutter to remove the painting, revealing a screen that says AWAITING INPUT.
24. Ofeibia shows up and introduces herself. Talk to her and she says she’s hungry. Also, your checklist says to help her blood sugar level. Move the pillow from Mo’s seat and take the gold heart. Also, give Ofeibia the chocolates. You’ll share them and get a movie key in yours.
25. Someone is still locked outside the plane. She tries to get in but it’s locked and the door handle is missing. Ofeibia pulls out another gold heart. Take it and also use the camera key to open the camera compartment. Take the Super-8 camera from inside.
26. Close both overhead compartments and then place the two gold hearts in the slots on the table. Take the huge wrench from inside and give it to Ofeibia to use as a door handle.
27. The woman comes in and introduces herself as Ivy the filmmaker. Talk to her and then give her the camera. She’ll give you a remote control as thanks and then Xia will call both of them to join her.
28. Now you’re alone. Use the remote control with the screen.
29. Now we have to solve a nonogram. You have to fill in the squares with either red or gray. The numbers on the sides clue the color placement. For instance, the first column has a gray 5. That means there are 5 gray squares grouped together. The underlines mean everything in that color is grouped together, and if there’s no underline, there’s a gap between them. So the 3 gray squares are not grouped together. Select a color and then put it into a square. Fill in all the squares according to the rules. Or just copy my solution. It kind of looks like a heart.
30. Now we have another nonogram to solve, this time much bigger and with three colors instead of two. Again, you can copy my solution. It looks like a volcano!
31. Take the coordinate printout from the printer. It’s a flight plan to “Mystère Island.”
32. Tap on the plane’s exit to call for Jake. He’s thirsty, so give him the champagne. Then he’ll go look for “the billionaire.”
33. Jon comes out and asks for the flight coordinates, so give them to him.
34. Now you have another choice to make. I said, “I felt a connection to one of the guys.” Then I chose Jake, the outlaw, because it feels like the game is steering me towards him and I want to see how it plays out. I may replay the game later to see how my choices affect things.
